Hello everyone,
My name is Van. I am currently living and working in Hanoi. I am a freelance investor and I also teach Vietnamese to foreigners as a part-time job.
In this post, I would like to introduce myself briefly:
1. My education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
- Passed CFA Level 1 certification in finance, investment, and portfolio management
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business law
- English proficiency level: B2 (equivalent to approximately 6.0 IELTS score)
- Currently learning Chinese
2. My teaching experience:
- 1 year of experience as a university lecturer
- 2 years of experience as a secondary school teacher and head of the training department of a math center
- In addition to teaching skills, I also have skills in lesson design and planning to suit each student.
- Working in the education sector has taught me how to develop myself daily to adapt to any situation and any job.
3. My business experience in the Vietnamese market:
- Experience in trading food and fashion products in the Vietnamese market.
- Passionate about customer service.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys new challenges and opportunities.
4. My investment experience in the Vietnamese market:
- I have 3 years of experience as an individual investor in Vietnam, particularly in the real estate sector.
- In Vietnam, the real estate market is still in its early stages and attracts investors of all levels of experience. However, I am committed to stability and professionalism. This is why I have taken the time to study for and pass the CFA Level 1 exam. I am also currently pursuing a degree in Business Law to further enhance my skills.
5. Work Philosophy:
I thrive on challenges and have a diverse background, having worked in various fields. While some may view this as a lack of stability, it’s the very essence of business, investment, and personal growth. No job remains unchanged forever, and no individual achieves success while standing still. Just like you, those seeking opportunities in Vietnam, aren’t you also looking for a new challenge, a new chance?
All experiences are interconnected and mutually supportive. I possess extensive knowledge and experience in technology, business, investment, and finance in Vietnam. I can help you, those eager to learn Vietnamese and gain insights into Vietnam, develop a broader understanding of the country and its people.
Currently, I am passionate about teaching Vietnamese to international friends as a part-time job during my free time, sharing more about Vietnam to the world. I hope to see you in my classes. Together, we’ll explore the Vietnamese language, culture, cuisine, landmarks, economy, and opportunities to live and work in Vietnam.
